Emission from ULXs

After a series of papers on gravitational wave sources, we published results concerning ultra-luminous X-ray sources. In the paper we analyse the anisotropic emission of radiation from these sources and show that the actual population of ultra-luminous X-ray sources differs from the observed one. Particularly, in flux limited surveys, the observed population will be highly biased toward black hole accretors, whereas neutron star accretors dominate volume-limited observations.
